Lists of Children’s Books that Could be Used to Learn Mathematics

The following websites include lists of good children’s books that can be read at home or in school.

When you get one of the books,

1. Read the story to your child (or children) and have the children share what they think about it
2. If the children are ready, you can explore together some mathematical ideas related to the story
3. Create activities to do with your child that expands on those ideas.
4. You can "google" the title of the book and look for lessons that use it. You will find activities the children will engage in while learning math and communicating their ideas.
