TODOS Launches 1,000 + 1 Membership Drive

 TODOS has begun a two-year membership drive culminating at the 2013 NCTM Annual Meeting in Denver to celebrate the 10th Anniversary of our founding.  Incentives are offered for recruiting new members.

TODOS LIVE! Sessions Continue

Link to a list of upcoming sessions and recorded archives from the TODOS homepage.  TODOS Live! is sponsored, in part, by a grant from the Mathematics Education Trust (MET) of the NCTM.

White House Initiative

Founding President Miriam Leiva, one of the invited attendees, represented TODOS and Houghton Mifflin Harcourt at the first meeting of the President’s Advisory Commission on Educational Excellence for Hispanic Americans at the White House, May 26 and 27.

TODOS at 2011 CAMT

TODOS strand speakers during the CAMT at the Gaylord Texan, Grapevine, TX, July 18-20, include: Don Balka, Debra Coggins, Jose Franco, Ted Hull, and Bill Jasper.  Meet people, have fun and serve your organization by volunteering to assist at the TODOS booth for a couple of hours.

Mathematics Teacher Retention Symposium

The California Mathematics Project Supporting Teachers to Increase Retention will sponsor a national symposium on Mathematics Teacher Retention, March 22-24, 2012, at a hotel near Los Angeles International Airport.  CMP seeks speaker proposals.

Conceptua® Fractions  helps ALL Students Understand fractions

Conceptua® Fractions is online, interactive, supplemental curriculum software providing a systematic, sequential approach to learning fractions. Over 400 activities include conceptual models, targeted use of language, auditory support and scaffolding.

TODOS Member Honored with NCSM's Top Award

Carol Greenes, Vice Provost for STEM Education, at Arizona State University and a past President of NCSM, was awarded the Ross Taylor-Glenn Gilbert National Leadership Award during the NCSM Annual Conference in Indianapolis.

 

The Computer Science Collaboratiion Project

The vision of this project is to efficiently increase participation of underrepresented groups in computer science opportunities and activities, and focuses on outreach to and collaboration with persons with disabilities, African Americans, Hispanics, American Indians, Alaska Natives, Native Hawaiians, Pacific Islanders and women.

TODOS Web Site Changes Coming

The TODOS website  will have a different look in the coming months, increasing functionality for TODOS members and providing more venues for communicating with other TODOS members.
