TODOS 2016 Conference App

In just three days, the 2016 TODOS Conference will begin with Lee Stiff as the opening keynote speaker. The TODOS 2016 Program can be found on the TODOS 2016 Conference page. All attendees  have access to Cumulus, the Conference App that is on the Cumulus website. They were sent that information a week ago. If you are attending and did not receive information on Cumulus, send a message to the editor.

TODOS in Harvard's FINE Newsletter

The Harvard Family Research Project (HFRP) on Complementary Learning spoke with President Diane Kinch and Vice President Marta Civil about ways to develop and support mathematics educators to engage families in their teaching practices. The result of the interviews is an article about TODOS in the Family Involvement Network of Educators (FINE) Newsletter, Volume VIII, Issue 2. 

Parent and Family Resources

The TODOS website has a new link, Parent and Family Resources, that provides resources for parents, guardians, and families. Teachers can use the link to share that information with their students' parents or guardians and to find ideas to implement in their own classrooms. Contact the editor if you have any comments or suggestions for improvement and if you find some glitches in it! 

TODOS Statement on Mass Shooting Incidents

TODOS sent out a statement on the mass shooting incidents to TODOS members via the E-lists and posted on Facebook. Please share this statement with your friends and colleagues.

The latest installment in Brooke Haycock's Between the Echoes series, focuses on those who fought the hardest to wear their caps and gowns as graduating high school seniors.

Free Summer Webinars from a TODOS Live! Presenter

The Summer Webinar 2016 series will be an opportunity to explore new uses for familiar manipulatives as well as learn about new tools to add to your toolkit. The three-part webinar series led by Dr. Sara Delano Moore, educational consultant at SDM Learning, is part of Building Understanding in Mathematics, a free professional learning community that provides a platform, advice, and support in helping educators learn methods that help students build understanding in mathematics.

Noticias de TODOS and TEEM 7 Available

The Spring 2016 issue of Noticias de TODOS is currently being mailed to all TODOS members. You should receive your copy soon. This issue can be accessed from the home page by the public. Teaching for Excellence and Equity in Mathematics (TEEM) 7 will be provided to all TODOS 2016 Conference attendees. This special issue-Mathematics Education: Through the Lens of Social Justice can be accessed by all TODOS members. Several of the authors of TEEM 7 will be speaking at the conference.

ICME 13 TODOS Attendees

ICME 13 is almost upon us. There will be over 3,300 attendees from all over the world at this event that occurs once every four years. Two more TODOS members have been added to the list of those attending: Nadine Bezuk and Frederick Uy. Go to the complete list of 25 TODOS members attending ICME 13 in Hamburg, Germany. If you are attending and your name is not on the list, send an email to the editor by July 10th. The final list will be posted in the July 2016 Enews that will be sent on July 20th, four days before ICME begins.
