NCTM Affiliate Leadership Conference
Three TODOS Board members, Don Balka, Bob McDonald and Carol Edwards, attended the NCTM Leadership Conference in Denver in late July. This conference provided an excellent opportunity to learn from, share our work with, and network with other affiliates.

TODOS has launched a two-year 1000+1 membership drive, with recruitment incentives for members, culminating at the 2013 NCTM Annual Meeting in Denver to celebrate the 10th Anniversary of our founding. Susie Håkansson of the California Mathematics Project is in the lead with 22 new members.

Travel Grants for ICME-12
Applications for travel grants to attend the Twelfth International Congress on Mathematical Education, Seoul, Korea, July 8-15, 2012, are due September 30, 2011. Application forms and selection criteria information are available from NCTM.

Hispanic College Enrollment Spikes
Driven by a single-year surge of 24% in Hispanic enrollment, the number of 18- to 24-year-olds attending college in the United States hit an all-time high of 12.2 million in October 2010, according to a Pew Hispanic Center analysis of newly available Census Bureau data.
