Nominations Open for TODOS Board

By November 1, please consider nominating fellow members for the TODOS Board. This year you will be electing a Vice President, President Elect and one Director. We need dedicated individuals to keep TODOS moving forward and ask that you give this some thought. Click here for more information.

Iris Carl Award Nominations Now Open

Nominate an individual who has made significant contributions to the quality of mathematics education provided to underserved students, in particular to Latina/o students, for the 2015 TODOS Iris M. Carl Equity and Leadership Award, TODOS’s highest award. Click here for more information.

NCTM MET Applications Open

Winter cycle applications for Mathematics Education Trust  Scholarships and Awards grants (including conference attendance)  and nominations for the MET’s Lifetime Achievement Award for Distinguished Service to Mathematics are due on November 7, 2014.

CMC South Conference

The CMC South math conference will be held on October 24th - Oct 25th in Palm Springs.  If you are attending and can donate time to the booth, please contact Angela Lopez.

Registration Open for 2014 NCTM Regional Conferences

The 2014 NCTM Regional Conferences will be held in Indianapolis , October 29-31; Richmond, November 12-14; and Houston, November 19-21. 

NCSM Fall Leadership Seminars

The 2014 NCSM Fall Leadership Seminars will be held in Indianapolis, October 29; Richmond, November 12; and Houston, November 19. 

Giving Tuesday

There’s Thanksgiving, Black Friday, Small Business Saturday, Cyber Monday and GIVING TUESDAY. Once again, TODOS will participate in this event. Last year TODOS raised over $1,000 for this event. This year we would like to double that amount. Find out how you can participate and spread the word  about TODOS participation.

Fall Conferences

Many TODOS members will be presenting at various conferences this fall. TODOS would greatly appreciate it if you have a slide promoting TODOS Membership in your session. There are also some handouts that you can use for participants. Feel free to also use them at your school!

TODOS will Share Booth at NCTM Regionals

Thanks to the NCTM Affiliate Services Committee for helping TODOS, The Benjamin Banneker Association and Women and Mathematics Education share a booth at the NCTM Regional conferences. If you are attending and would like to help staff the booth, contact Bob McDonald.

We would like to thank Dr. Robert Gyles and Harriet Haynes for once again proving space for TODOS at the NYC Mathematics conference at Hunter College. This years conference is November 15th.


Susie Håkansson kicked off the 5th season of TODOS LIVE!. Her presentation, Fractions on the Number Line, can be viewed here. Allison Davis will present Using Number Tracks to Promote Flexible Thinking in Problem Solving on Mondy Oct 27th at 5:00 PM PDT (6:00 PM MDT; 7:00 PM CDT; 8:00 PM EDT)


Educators of Native American Students (EONAS) has become a Special Interest Group of TODOS. Read more information about EONAS and be on the lookout for information regarding an EONAS listserv and information on becoming an EONAS Member.

Are You a Techie? 

TODOS is in the need of some members who have the time and ability to edit .mov files. We will be moving our archives of TODOS LIVE! to Teacher Tube, and would like to edit the files to include a brief snippet about TODOS. Contact Bob McDonald for more information.

TODOS Strand at CAMT in June, 2015

Help TODOS have a strong presence at 2015 CAMT to be held in Houston June 24th - 26th. Submit a proposal by November 15th, 2015. TODOS does have a modest fund to help support individuals who will repeat their session or give two sessions. Click here for more info.
