The targeted questions are the following: How might teachers begin to teach mathematic for social justice? How might teacher educators begin to teach teachers how to teach mathematics for social justice? How might teaching mathematics for social justice “look like?” How can mathematics be re-envisioned as a means to create a more socially just world?

Our Stories, Our Struggles, Our Strengths

The Education Trust published the results of their project in the article Our Stories, Our Struggles, Our Strengths, Perspectives and Reflections from Latino Teachers. The article is a deep dive into better understanding the unique experiences of Latino teachers: why they teach, what they believe they bring to the classroom and the field, and what challenges they face in the workplace because of their race/ethnicity. Go to the Ed Trust website for a brief description of the full article.

A Collective Call to Action: January-February 2018
