Call for Proposals! Share Your Commitment!

The Program Committee for the TODOS 2020 Conference, TODOS’ fourth national conference, seeks proposals to address the theme: Activating Agency for Student Access, Engagement, and Advancement in Mathematics. Submit a proposal designed with this theme in mind and contribute to the collective effort of enacting the TODOS mission and social justice agenda. Deadline to submit proposals is September 30, 2019.

Need More Information on the TODOS 2020 Conference?

Activating Agency for Student Access, Engagement, and Advancement in Mathematics will be held June 25-27, 2020 in Scottsdale, AZ. Presentations, discussions, and call to action will be organized around the strands from the joint NCSM/TODOS Position Statement on Social Justice: Beliefs & Structures, Curriculum & Instruction, Families & Communities, and Systems & Accountability.

2019 Giving Tuesday Campaign

The 2019 TODOS Giving Tuesday Campaign began in January and will be the highlight of the December 2, 2019 #GivingTuesday efforts. Throughout the year, members are encouraged to support classroom teachers' attendance at the TODOS 2020 Conference to be held June 25-27, 2020 in Scottsdale, AZ. Consider making a contribution to the TODOS 2020 fund or to other TODOS efforts!

Join your TODOS colleagues when Cathery Yeh presents a Quick Talk on Equity on Tuesday, August 14th at 4:30 PM titled Countering Deficit Myths of Students with Dis/Abilities and Conceptualizing Possibilities: A Culturally Responsive and Relational Approach to Mathematics. Go to the TODOS Webinar Registration page to view a detailed description of the QTE and to register.

Did you miss the webinar that was held on July 16th titled Mathematics Intervention: Structures and Strategies to Support Struggling Learners? You can view the recording of the webinar. Included in the discussion were ways to help struggling learners to catch up within the core classroom or intervention setting, with the content focusing on proportional reasoning and functions.

Have you formed a book or reading group with friends and colleagues and selected an article or book  from the TODOS Summer Reading List focusing on the mission and goals of TODOS? Find one or two from the list of interest to you, meet and discuss the readings, and share how you can actively promote equity, excellence, and social justice in your sphere of influence.

Volunteer at the TODOS Booth at CCTM Conference

Are you attending the Colorado Council of Teachers of Mathematics Conference to be held July 30th in Sturm Hall at the University of Denver? Volunteer to staff the TODOS Exhibit Booth. The Exhibit Hall will be open from 7:00 AM to 2:30 PM. You can Energize, Engage, and Empower your friends and colleagues to join TODOS by communicating why you joined and why they should join. 

Re-thinking the Role of Algebra 2

Maintaining Algebra 2 requirements for high school graduation and college admission contributes to inequity, by creating barriers for students who lack access to high quality preparation. But doing away with Algebra 2 requirements without creating alternate equally rigorous pathways tied to college success could also lead to more inequitable outcomes.
