TODOS Elections

TODOS Elections for the office of President Elect and a Member at Large are now open. The candidates are Jose Franco for President Elect and Don Balka and Rosemary Klein for Member at Large. Please vote for the candidates of your choice. The polls close at 11:59 PM Pacific Time on February 7th.

Equity In Mathematics Education

The January/February edition of the NCTM News Bulletin featured Rafaela Santa Cruz’s article Giving Voice to English Language Learners in Mathematics NCTM continues its commitment to equity in mathematics education. Santa Cruz is a charter member of TODOS.

Iris Carl Award

Nominations for the 2009 Iris Carl Award can be submitted through March 4th. This award recognizes an individual who has made significant contributions to the quality of mathematics education provided to underserved students, in particular to Latino/Hispanic students.

Professional Development Opportunities

NCTM Fall E-Workshop Series has online workshops.

Science training opportunities from Cornell University for Grade 5-9 teachers will be held in August. Applications are due by March 2.

The Math Forum @ Drexel: Apply to participate in online workshops (free) focusing on Algebraic Reasoning or Probability [March 2 - April 13].
