McDougal Littell supports Professional and Leadership Development activities for TODOS members. We are grateful to McDougal Littell and to Denise McDowell, marketing director, for their funding of this important TODOS program that will enhance professional growth and leadership among our members. The grant addresses two of the goals of TODOS:

To promote, provide and support programs that advance the professional growth of members and build leadership capacity.

To provide grants for professional development opportunities in areas such as curriculum, instruction, assessment, culture, language as they relate to the teaching and learning of mathematics.

Funds are designated for Scholarship Awards for at most four members to participate in professional development opportunities during the 2007 and 2008 calendar year. Each Awardee will be provided financial support with up to $1500 for expenses. If actual expenses are less than $1500, the reimbursement will be for the actual amount spent. Any expenses greater than $1500 will not be covered and will be the responsibility of the Awardee. After the event attended, reimbursement will be made on the basis of the submitted expense form and receipts for registration, travel, and lodging.
