Founding President Miriam Leiva continues to provide information regarding the President's Advisory Commission on Educational Excellence for Hispanic Americans.   A news release from the White House for Hispanic Education  containing achievement data is posted on the TODOS Web Site.

OELA Roundtable

José Franco and Okhee Lee co-facilitated a STEM Roundtable  sponsored by the Office of English Language Acquisition (OELA) to inform OELA of effective practices that promote ELL's achievement in STEM and to create a community of educators and business representatives working in STEM education.

Submit speaker proposals for 2012 NCTM Regional Conferences in Dallas, Hartford and Chicago by Nov. 1, 2011.

Mathematics Teacher Retention Symposium

The California Mathematics Project Supporting Teachers to Increase Retention will sponsor a national symposium on Mathematics Teacher Retention, March 22-24, 2012, at a hotel near Los Angeles International Airport.  CMP seeks speaker proposals.

 CEMELA ~ CPTM ~ TODOS Conference Proceedings  

Access the proceedings of the Practitioners and Researchers Learning Together: A National Conference on the Mathematics Teaching and Learning of Latinos/as. This conference was funded in part by the National Science Foundation.

Education Trust 2011 National Conference

Conference theme is Leaving Nothing to Chance, Closing Gaps and Raising Achievement. November 3-5, Crystal Gateway Marriott, Arlington, Virginia. Early bird registration by Sept. 12.

TERC Mixing in Math Project

Free download of English/Spanish materials from NSF-funded TERC project to develop, research, and support implementation of math materials for informal educators (parents, after-school educators and librarians).
