This book club is open to anyone committed to creating more equitable and antiracist mathematics classrooms and communities.

We especially welcome:

  • Classroom Teachers looking to build inclusive practices that affirm every child’s identity and potential.
  • Instructional Coaches and Administrators who support and shape equitable school cultures.
  • Teacher Educators and Researchers seeking to connect scholarship with practice.
  • Pre-service Teachers and Graduate Students eager to begin their careers with a strong equity foundation.
  • Advocates, Families, and Community Members who want to better understand and support antiracist mathematics education.
  • No matter your role or stage in your journey, your voice and perspective are valuable.

Community Agreement

In this book club, we commit to creating a brave, respectful, and supportive space where we listen with humility, speak from our own experiences, and work toward antiracist action in mathematics education. To honor this commitment, participants who do not follow these principles may be asked to step away from the group.

Session Schedule

All sessions will be 1 hour in duration and will take place at 4:30 pm PST / 7:30 pm EST:

  • November 19, 2025 – Section 1: Students
  • February 11, 2026 – Section 4: Administrators
  • March 25, 2026 – Section 3: Teachers
  • June 2026 at the TODOS Conference: Details to come! – Section 2: Parents and Caregivers & Section 5: Community Members
