They are aligned to the guiding principles our Social Justice joint statement and highlight key TODOS resources along with reflective prompts and support to take action in your educational contexts).
New PD Resource
Designed by math educators
Each Starter Pack brings together some of TODOS’s favorite resources to support educators. Rooted in a TODOS position statement and our Social Justice statement, our starter packs also include 4-6 resources (videos, articles, podcasts, and more) to encourage acknowledgement, action, and accountability.
A social justice stance requires a systemic approach that includes fair and equitable teaching practices,
high expectations for all students, access to rich, rigorous, and relevant mathematics, and strong family/community relationships to promote positive mathematics learning and achievement. Equally important, a social justice stance interrogates and challenges the roles power, privilege, and oppression play in the current unjust system of mathematics education—and in society as a whole.

Parents & Families as Partners
It is well known that parental involvement in schooling is essential for student success, yet in mathematics education, we do not embrace the knowledge Black, Indigenous, and/or Latinx parents bring to their children’s schools. In this Starter Pack, we share many resources to support educators to center families and create genuine partnerships.
